With the exception of Bea at the Fullerton Ave location being extremely helpful and very prompt and courteous in my coorespondance with her, I have been somewhat dissapointed in the way my claim was handled. Bea deserves 5 stars, but not so much the rest of the way the company handles things. I was involved in an accident in October of 2011, and it was  months of nothing but headaches from the get go. I will not mention who my insurance policy was taken out with, but basically I had to pay almost two grand out of my pocket while my car sat in a body shop for three months while the company dragged out everthing. The body shop had to call the insurance company to find out what the deal was with my car. When the first adjustor came out and looked at my car and the body shop gave them an estimate, and then once the body shop started taking my car apart and found more internal engine damage, the adjustor left and was no where to be seen for almost eight weeks. In the mean time since I only received rental reimbursement for 30 days, I had to cough up the rest of the money out of pocket, which is something that I should not have had to pay for. A company drags their feet over something and delays something for the period of time they did, at MY expense. Also, I can see paying a 500.00 deductable IF a car is going to be repaired, but when it is written off as a total loss, that is like giving someone 500.00 for nothing. This entire experience cost me way more money that I had ever anticipated having to have to fork over. It has not been a pleasant 3 months for me. This is one of the worst experiences that I have ever gone through in my entire life. Way to many headaches for something that was dragged out for over a period of three months. Far too long in my opinion. Being involved in an accident is traumatizing enough and once it's over you are still going through a lot more issues. If your car is totaled out, who nowdays has that kind of money laying around to pay for a rental vehicle? I am sure not too many. While Northwest is good, the companies that underwrite their poilcies for them has a lot to be desired

This is by far the worst customer service I have ever recieved. Yes, when I was a customer with them they were very polite, blah blah blah. Whats new, all they wanted was my money. I had to cancel their services because they overcharged my account not once, twice, but THREE times!!! Are you kidding me?? I called and fought over the payments and yes I will admit they credited my account back but I still was tired of dealing with constant billing issues so I cancelled them. Recently I received a letter saying I was being sent to collections and when I spoke to David Cruz he was the worst representative. Didn't care to even speak to me, oh and stated that I didn't deserve to get MY OWN MONEY back. Really?? All he did was cut me off and all I could do was hang up! Never will I refer someone to this company!

In response to your review , I spoke to Mr. David Cruz about this and he was extremely shocked to hear how you felt about your experience in dealing with him. After discussing this with him, he informed me that the reason you were charged a $158.58 three times is because when you made your payment online, you clicked the submit button three times. You called us on 7/27/11 informing us of the error and we credited you right away along with your bank. On 8/3/11, We received confirmation that a total of $475.74 was credited back to your credit card from our company. In addition a total of $317.16 was credited back to you from your financial institution. Your policy is currently expired with a balance of $158.58 because all your money was credited back to you making this the reason why you owe NWIN $158.58. Yet again, we apologize for the misunderstanding.
